In this class, we will be establishing how to get this level interested in creative movement. What kind of movement works and where to challenge the kids. Through a combo, we will explore and notice where to create “checkpoints” and where to push their limitations on exploration.
This class will be centered around a jazz combination incorporating jazz pas de deux using technique and style to deliver a professional standard of partner work that your dancers might be expected to deliver in auditions to successfully book that Broadway show!
This class will focus on a series of “across the floor” combinations with special attention being paid on style and transitions. We will explore styles and trends that are popular today and travel all the way back to the 60’s. This class will combine the two worlds of movement and acting. Bonnie will teach a contemporary combo, while at the same time, going through steps as an actor. She will take you through teaching the combo and discussing the whys and intentions of the piece. Then you’ll put it all together.
