Andi McCormack, hailing from Liverpool, England, is a renowned dance instructor and entrepreneur with an extensive career in the performing arts. She opened her first Penny Lane Dance Academy in Studio City, California, in 2003. Her innovative curriculum and teaching style have earned her the affectionate nickname "The Mary Poppins of Dance" from Hollywood elites such as Aaron Sorkin, William H. Macy, and Dave Grohl.
A certified teacher and associate member of the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dance (ISTD), Andi began her teaching career in 1992 in the UK. She was trained in classical ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and tap at the prestigious Arts Educational School and Laine Theatre Arts. Andi's performance credits include voiceover work for BBC Radio 4, touring Italy as a classically trained vocalist, performing for British and American troops in the Falklands, appearing in The Royal Variety Show, and dancing in ITV’s Brit Awards for "Take That."
