Preparing for an unset ballet class can be a LOT of work depending on the level of ballet. Teaching an unset class that challenges your dancers’ musicality and understanding of music and rhythm is not for the musically uncertain! This short but intense 1 hour presentation is going to dive into using the ‘and’, or NOT using it, in different music types throughout a ballet class. This is a HUGE topic since many music types, both duple and triple meter, have an anacrusis! We’re going to go through a typical class and discuss the impact of using this fantastic rhythm feature!
