Misty founded her first business, Misty’s Dance Unlimited, at age 21. Since that time she has founded several more companies including More Than Just Great Dancing®, Everything Dance, Midwest Dance Connection, and A Chance To Dance Foundation. She is also a managing partner of EduCare, LLC and Lown Family Enterprises and a general partner in three real estate investment partnerships. Misty has encouraged and inspired hundreds of entrepreneurs and young women in the past fifteen years and continues to share her positive and humorous perspective on business and life through through her writing, speaking, and mentoring. Misty married her high school sweetheart, Mitch and lives in her hometown of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Family, faith, and mentoring are the anchors of her life. She and her family volunteer together at the annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner and at their church. Mitch volunteers as a soccer coach for the YMCA, is a member of the Dive Search and Rescue Team, and president of Global Groundwork. Misty pitches in as a field trip chaperone for the kids’ school, as volunteer producer of Dancing with the La Crosse Stars, and president of the A Chance to Dance Foundation.
